  • Lack of planning

  • Following the crowd

It could be any number of these reasons and more.

But who really cares.

We’re not here to waste time on diagnosis let’s get started right here creating a simple online marketing strategy that will work for your business.

A strategy that is used by successful online marketers, and has been used by successful offline and direct response marketers for over a hundred years before them.

The 7 Must Have Parts Of Any Successful Online Marketing Strategy

7 steps are about as short as I can make this process without missing anything. In fact as soon as you miss one step you might as well not worry about the rest. So I’ve tried to be thorough in this Blog.

None of this is hard to do; it just takes careful planning and some consistent, focused effort.

In fact if you worked on this for just an hour a day for the next month you could have the complete system in place and your business and life will never be the same again.

So let’s get into it.

Identify The Specific, Highly Targeted Market That You Have A Perfect Solution For

Don’t try to be everything to everybody. Be the perfect solution for a targeted group of people. I always try to explain it to my clients that you want your prospects to feel like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders when they find you.

You do this by researching the deepest desires and fears of the people you want to serve. How can you make their life better?

Every time you focus in tighter and tighter on a specific ideal customer your business becomes much more valuable to them.

Important Tip: Whenever you are developing any marketing strategy or creating a new campaign remember you are talking to ONE PERSON. Yes you may be having hundreds or even thousands of these conversations but each point of contact is between you and a single person.

If you are really good at getting one of your perfect customers to buy from you, then you simply multiply this using your marketing.

Create A Message That Gets Their Attention

If 4 of your ideal customer where walking down a busy street amongst a crowd of a hundreds. There’s noise, there’s traffic, they’re thinking about what’s for dinner tonight or maybe they’re thinking about the problem you can fix for them.

What would you yell out to these people that would stop them in their tracks and say” Wait that sounds like something that could help me…”

Start writing down a few things you might say. Refine it and test it with a group of ideal prospects. Does it resonate with them?

Refine it some more until you get your marketing message spot on.

Put That Message Where These People Will See It

  • Where are these people hiding?
  • Were they looking for you?
  • Who else knows where they are and can help you find them?

There are endless ways to get your message out into the world, but unless your target customer is in that part of the world you’ll end up with disappointing results. That’s why step 1 is so important.

By being very specific about who your looking for, you’ll get much better at finding them.

Get Them To Reveal Themselves

Everything up until now has made it easy for your ideal customers to contact you, but you want to be able to contact them. So you need to know who they are and how you can reach them.

You do this by offering something of high value to them that doesn’t cost you much (or anything to provide). Give them a solution to a specific problem in exchange for their email address. Discover my opt-in conversion boosting tips here.

Provide Value, Highlight Your Expertise

Now you can contact your ideal customer directly you need to become the only business that they would possibly choose to buy from. You do this by providing huge value, educating your clients and positioning yourself as an industry authority. Learn how to implement and automate your follow-up process here.

Make An Irresistible Offer

You’ve built a relationship. Your prospect trusts your brand and your expertise, now it’s time to provide so much value at such a great price that your prospect can’t refuse.

Not only do you need to provide great value but you need to make them see how great an offer it is and how by buying your product they will get much more back in return. This is where copywriting is so important.

Become The Answer To All Their Dreams Related To Your Product and Service

Through all your hard work you have now made a sale. But you don’t want to do all that work for one sale. Think about the built up value of all you have just done throughout this process.

Now it’s time to really reap the benefits.

What else does this customer need to get even more benefits from your product or service?

What kind of customer service can you provide to truly blow their mind, and create a dream come true buying experience?

Often it I small bring things that can turn one sale into a lifetime customer relationship that will help you create a strong consistent business.
